Observation groups on land, by air, and by sea, collaboratively collected one of the most comprehensive sets of meteorological data ever obtained in the tropics. Because the Line Islands Experiment was meant to be a pilot program for future experiments, representatives from the observing groups gathered on 5 May to discuss and review the success of the experiment.
